Children's Book Clubs

 

 

This is an added enrichment that we are offering for parents and children of
Rising Star and the Community at Large

 

They will be held the 4th Tuesday of the Month
(excluding November and December)
from 6-7:30pm
**Full time children still at school after 6:00 will be brought to the reading**

 

Each Book will include a special theme and snack

Where the Wild Things Are
Parents bring children in thier pajamas and stay to hear the story and make a "monster" snack

October 27 
Pumkin Hill
Parents bring children in their Halloween Costumes and stay to hear the story and make a "scary"  snack

November 17 
I know an Old Lady who Swallowed a Pie
**Come early for our Scholastic Book Fair**

December 15 
Polar Express
Parents bring children in thier pajamas and stay to hear the story and enjoy cookies and cocoa

January 26
Green Eggs and Ham
Parents bring children wearing something green to hear the story and enjoy of course green eggs and ham

February 23 
Harold and the Purple Crayon
Parents bring children wearing something purple to hear the story and enjoy an adventurous snack

March 23
The Hungry Caterpillar
Parents bring children ready for a "picnic" and a story. Bring a blanket to sit on!

April 27
Mike Mulligan and his Steam Shovel
Wear your hard hats and your work clothes and get ready to "dig" into a classic with "dirty" snack to finish

May 25
 The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry, and The Big Hungry Bear
Parents bring children early to make thier masks and settle in for a story and a sweet red snack
